In order to meet his mortgage payments, Jack, a would be reporter, agrees to be employed as a "living toy" for a rich brat. This spoiled child enjoys playing practical jokes, but finds a formidable adversary in Jack, who is quite the prankster himself. Of course the boy's mischievous behavior is designed to attract his father's attention. So, Jack takes on the task of uniting father and son, and of teaching them both the true value of friendship.
